High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF)

PAS Technologies operates a Praxair-Tafa JP8000 HP-HVOF unit. "HP" stands for High pressure; this unit has generally higher particle velocity than its rivals, giving improved particle adhesion to substrate, lower oxide contamination and the potential for thicker coatings. The JP8000 is a mass-flow controlled version of Tafa's well proven JP5000 unit. It runs on oxygen and liquid kerosene. The system is combined with an ABB IRB4400 six axis robot and Siemens tilting turntable to provide gun/part manipulation. The system is available for 24 hour/ 5 day operation.
